I had a different brand of this product previously with the NiCad batteries, and it had multi speeds and a rather large cup on the head which both contained some of the nail dust and got in the way of seeing what you were doing. Unlike that product, this version is very simple. On/off, no nail guard. Sure, you are gonna get dust flying but in my opinion, you have better control. Loud, but does what it needs to do
I bought this to replace an ancient Dremel with a battery that barely held any charge and a charger I'd always lose. Since this simply has a micro USB connector in the bottom, I can at least be happy I won't "lose" that charger. My biggest problem with it is that it's kinda loud. Don't waste your money if you have a big dog .
If you have a very little old dog that you need to do toenails on it is fine. anything else is a no go. You cannot speed it up. So, it takes FOREVER to get through big dog toenails. Figured I would try it out. really wish I had just returned them. I work at a dog grooming salon. They were only useful like once. A lot of people complained about the noise, but I did not see that being a problem.

This hurts! I tested it on my nail and it was so painful I would never use this on my pets. They imply it is for dogs and cats. It is absolutely not for cats, whose nails are more delicate. No speed adjustment and the sanding accessories seem to all be the same chunky grit that leaves nails with rough edges. It is loud and vibrates a lot in your hand.

This is a one speed cordless rotary tool intended for grinding pet nails. It comes with a collet wrench, some sanding sleeves/bit, and a charging cable (but no charger - requires separate purchase of a 5V 1A (min) USB wall unit - I used one that I had laying around and it worked fine).
