I bought this saw for smaller trim work mostly 1x4 boards. This is a great little trim saw well built and safe to operate.
Small but mighty.
I am a long time user of DeWALT tools. I valued my 12 mounted on a folding stand as my most valuable tool, until. I remodeled my daughter's basement myself. She saw my struggles with the large saw. She took it upon herself to find my new favorite. At 35 lbs, one hand carry, battery operated it does not completely replace the big brother but it is light, accurate and very reliable.

Great little miter saw
I just needed a small miter saw for some smaller jobs around the house and this knocked it out of the park! Love Dewalt products and this one is no exception. The handles on the side make it very easy to carry around and each cut is perfect. Special shoutout to the folks at Lowes for helping me not only locate where in the store the saw was stored but they also made sure I got the web price, which was a huge discount from retail and included a Dewalt battery as well.

I don’t even use my heavy / bulky 12 inch miter at all anymore! This saw does everything and more ! Slide feature smooth ,dual bevel is time saver ! This is the perfect saw for the average professional home owner. I like to move the saw around to where the project is and this makes that so much easier. Works fine on 2x4, 2x6, and trim. Making it great for redoing the exterior trim of my shed. Dual bevel would be nice, but that is rarely needed for most projects. Comes up short on the full potential of flooring.
There was not one on display to evaluate the reach this thing has. I brought my plank to evaluate. There was no max cut length on the box or any PDF I could find. I already have a 12" corded DeWalt miter saw that comes up short on cutting flooring planks. This one comes up short as well(see photo).
