A great DIY garage compressor

Number 1 is this is quiet. #2 fills fast and for tools using 90psi, the cut in is 150psi. This gives you plenty of good air to use while the compressor is getting back to max pressure. Mine arrived without flaw and was up and running in little time. Install a remote water purge, and an Auto Retracting Wall Mounted Hose Reel and you'll be happy. One more thing an after market air filter goes the additional ways to quiet down the air pump.

Looks pretty but doesn't work properly.

Stop. Do not buy this compressor. Maybe I just got a lemon, but the compressor consistently "bogs down" at about 150 psig, coming almost to a stop, and then eventually finishes pressurizing. I'm running it on a dedicated 20 amp, 120v circuit as required. The voltage at the motor connections reads a constant 114v during the entire pressurization cycle, including during the time it "bogs down". There is a "pinging" noise that develops as pressure builds in the tank and then goes away after it...

Great compressor but shipping is not so great.

This is the second compressor in two weeks. The first one had all the oil spilled where it was obviously turned over during shipping. Easy to know that it was turned over since the cage around the flywheel was smashed and the flywheel was broke. The second unit came in with oil once again spilled all over the bottom of the box and the clip that supports the flywheel cage once again broken. Leaks at 3 different places poor Quality control

I went with Dewalt and paid a premium because of my great experience with their 20v and 60v lines. I am an avid DYi'er and wanted to replace by trusty 30 year old craftsman with this unit. Very nice looking unit, well packaged. Even had a tilt detector in case unit was improperly shipped on its side, the dye would spill and tell the story. I waited 2 weeks for this and now it leaks. Good Compressor - Some Assembly Required

I’ll start with the bad. I received the compressor and picked it up at my Lowes. All the oil was drained out of the motor and soaked the box. Got it home and found one of the clips that holds the cage in place broken off. Filled it back up with oil and ran it through the 30 minute break it. Drained the oil and filled it back up. Dewalt Air Compressor

Good air compressor. I like the ability to be able to move easily around my shop. Controls are easy to access without bending over. Good air pressure 205 psi shut off and about 160 psi restart. Lowes shipping was great, a day late on store arrival but easy to pickup and they loaded. I read other reviews that claimed there was issues with laying the compressor on it's side during shipping which caused compressor oil to run out. This thing is a (very quiet) beast

I've been looking for a small oil-pump compressor to keep up with my new air tools. I looked at the Ingersoll Rand Garagemate as a primary contender. Thta's still a great machine, but I got this compressor over others because it has the highest SCFM rating at 6.2 at 90 psi. The crazy part is that this unit is quieter than my oil-less pancake compressor. WAY quieter. Awesome Compressor!

I decided to take a chance on this compressor due to its high performance on a regular/standard 110 volt power outlet. I paid the extra to have it truck delivered to avoid it being laid on its side. It arrived in prefect condition. The delivery guys were very professional and patient while I unboxed and inspected the compressor. I picked up my new air compressor yesterday. The cage around the flywheel was bent badly. I straightened it out and found that the flywheel was cracked. There was oil in the box from tipping it during shipping. I have to assume the damage was done at the factory as the box was not damaged at all. I will update my review as I find out how good the customer service is and how the compressor actually works.

Decent Air Compressor

Decent Air Compressor. A little more than I would've liked to paid, but it does plug into 110v so that was a plus. Only issue I have is I will probably have to replace the gauge, which seems to be leaking and bleeding off air to the hose. For the price and because it is Dewalt, I would've expected better quality valve/gauges. Other than that small issue, it does what I need it to do for the most part.
