I bought the DWS780 saw and DWX723 stand. I use it in my construction business. The saw is second to none, the stand is perfect, the safety latches.......fricking garbage. Over engineered by a pencil-neck seat polisher who never tried them after designing them. They don't have to have the 'double action' spring-latch system. They break over and over and over! Dewalt....... you can do much better. Design a better system and replace every one that was sold for free!!!!

Very sturdy miter saw stand. Saw support brackets support the saw well and can be moved anywhere along the stand. The stand can be moved with the saw installed but the combination is heavy. Legs lock in place well. Stock supports can be positioned anywhere on the stand or the stand extensions. Length is about 6 feet so if your truck is shorter and you need to move it often you might need to consider the shorter one that Dewalt makes. This stand handles the weight no problem. Put the brackets on the stand first then mount the saw to the brackets. I bought better bolts (3/8-16 x 2 Carriage Bolts) and had to drill them out to 7/16, a whooping 1/16 inch larger. 3/8 is the exacts diameter of the slots in the brackets. I changed out the bolts that came with the stand because they are way too soft even for my Diamond tipped screw drivers. Everything works great. I used it to cut some replacement deck boards. I purchased this stand with a double bevel Dewalt Miter saw. The stand is sturdy and has good functionality. The mounting brackets that attach to the bottom of your saw to attach it to the rail, have triggers, each with an internal leaf spring. As said in so many reviews online, these triggers and springs are very poor quality. The stand is sufficiently heavy to provide a stable work area for the saw. It is rigid so everything doesnt wobble. It is simple enough to set up so a PhD in mechanical engineering isnt required.
