Excellent Saw and Stand Combo
Accurate out of the box saw with logical instructions. Initial starts require extra attention as blade gets up to full RMP speed.
Excellent Miter stand
We’ll build and solid. Stops are easy to use. Saw purchase included the miter stand.
Very Sturdy Miter Saw Stand
Very sturdy miter saw stand. Saw support brackets support the saw well and can be moved anywhere along the stand. The stand can be moved with the saw installed but the combination is heavy. Legs lock in place well. Stock supports can be positioned anywhere on the stand or the stand extensions. Length is about 6 feet so if your truck is shorter and you need to move it often you might need to consider the shorter one that Dewalt makes. There is a channel in the top of the stand to give it strength...
Heavy Duty Winner
This stand handles the weight no problem. Put the brackets on the stand first then mount the saw to the brackets. I bought better bolts (3/8-16 x 2 Carriage Bolts) and had to drill them out to 7/16, a whooping 1/16 inch larger. 3/8 is the exacts diameter of the slots in the brackets. I changed out the bolts that came with the stand because they are way too soft even for my Diamond tipped screw drivers. Everything works great. I used it to cut some replacement deck boards. I did buy the DW...
Heavy to move but sturdy.
I have been waiting for the day I could add this saw to my tool collection. It’s amazing. I got the stand for it too and I look for more chances to go to my shop.
Heavy to move but worth the convince.
My last saw I used on the ground and it was a back breaker. Being able to stand while you work makes you much more efficient and you feel better at the end of the day.
Awesome Saw
Lowes included the DWX723 heavy duty stand with the saw so it was a no brainer to go for the DWS779 instead of the DWS780. The higher fence and XPS light wasn’t worth the difference especially since the DWX723 stand was included (a $250 value). It was accurate right out of the box. I have all kinds of tools to check for accuracy as I do woodworking on the side. Well worth the cost on sale and would do it again.
Why in the world does this have a Laser
At this price point Why would any good company not put a Laser as standard feature. how you make accurate cut without one. I have a cheap Roybi 10 inch under $175 dollars and it have laser. Shame on you DEWALT. This model Should not be in your product line. I should have purchased another brand.
The associate was very helpful with an issue on the order, and made sure to resolve the issue. Very happy with her service.
Features aren't everything; take time to decide.
Needed to change the factory saw blade for finish work out of the box, but couldn't access the arbor screw. The guard bracket screw was over-tightened at the factory during assembly...absolutely frozen. I wasn't going to force the bracket screw, so I returned the saw without using it. In Lowe's defense, they happily took care of the return. My opinion is the choice of screw and corresponding tool for this purpose is poor and was made just to save a few pennies. My 20 year-old Delta had a slight...
