Sago palm is perfect for adding a touch of the tropics. Grow a sago palm tree in bright, indirect sunlight for the best growth and enjoy. Water sago palm tree with approximately one cup of water about once every two weeks adjust as needed for your environment. Height at shipping is approximately 15-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant ships in a 6-inch diameter grower pot. Pot the sago palm in a terracotta planter from Pennington, a natural and eco-friendly pot made from clay harvested from the earth and fired at over 2,000 degrees. Other than planting directly in the ground, terracotta is the most natural medium to plant in. It allows the soil to receive ample amounts of oxygen for plant growth and balances the temperature of the soil for healthier plants. Terracotta’s porous nature allows moisture in and out, preventing soil disease and root rot. Pennington terracotta pots can be used for indoor plants and outdoor container gardening. Pennington terracotta pots have a hole in the bottom for proper drainage. Use a Pennington terracotta saucer to protect surfaces. The plant does not come potted in a terracotta planter but instead in a plastic pot. A terracotta planter will also need to be purchased.
