" SMOKIN' " !!
Years ago I procured a char griller pro on Craigs list; free for pickup. Anyway it was abused and the "firebox" was soon rusted out. I found that the local Lowes had them for sale so I bought the whole package. Back then it came as separate units. The big smoker box and the smaller fire box. Both would grill stuff on their own but together they make one heck of a smoking system. I use cherry that I cut myself. Yummm. Nothing like those sissy electric or gas fired rigs. You need to know what work...
scrap metal is all this is good for.
ordered online. delivered in two days by FedEx. had more dents and damage than a demo derby car. boxes were in good condition. it was obvious that the damage was due to poor handling and packing at the factory. customer service chat was unsatisfactory and when I expressed my displeasure calmly and politely she said have a good day and cut off the chat. run don't walk away from this brand. Lowe's associates handled the return quite well
Owned grill/smoker for over 15 years
I’ve owned the grill with smoker since 2003 and am just now replacing parts- new wheels (cheap plastic originals finally collapsed), new ash pan and grates. The wood shelves are also pretty cheap. I replaced with 1” cedar boards stained black to match grill color - looks great and shows off wood grain. Have smoked salmon, chickens, pork and grilled a ton. A good grill
It’s a nice, good-sized grill. It appears to be solid, but the assembly instructions leave out a few key steps, like adding the spacers for the side box (which we figured out), and what appears to be an extra part not included in the parts list or the instructions (which we didn’t.)

damaged grill
the grill itself is nice but it was damaged to the point that I cannot use it and I am very frustrated!!!!! There are dents and marks all over the grill and the grill grated do not fit the grill because it is much too wide from damage I guess for the grates to fit and not drop into the grill bed. I need a replacement or a refund.
Dont Bother
Dont waste your money. I took the time to seal fire box and chimney with high heat silicone, install cover and you can fit your fingers in gap between cover and base. Added 3/4 inch angle iron to outside and added gasket and its still so far out of whack to come vlose to making a seal. Spend the extra $100 for an oklahoma joe!!!!

Not the quality product it used to be!
Damaged, missing parts and manual. Went directly to char-griller customer service and got told too bad. (not a Lowe's issue). I was replacing the identical grill that I've had for 12+years. Never buying Char-Griller again!

Poor Quality.
Top barrel banged up from the inside on the top and bottom dented from both back corners. Charcoal smoker lid does not sit flush also due to being banged on the inner corner.
My smoker was sent the store. It was supposed to be assembled. It wasn’t. So I attempted to assemble it. There were parts misding. Now I’m having to deal with the manufacturer. They are very difficult to deal with. Total bad experience.
