Great charcoal grilling

It was missing the riser tray, but too much trouble to try and prove that to Lowes to get a replacement. It was fairly easy to put together, though there were a ton of parts. What we like about this grill is the work space. We've had the smaller Kamado grill with the drop down trays. At least with this one, I can put all my supplies on one side and not worry about dropping them. I recommend getting the smoking stone if you want indirect heat to smoke, or slow cook something. Flimsy cart

I'm sure the grill is great, I've had Akorn grills in the past. However the cart looks nice, but the way it is packed, some of the sheet metal gets bent and it will not go together properly without using Vise grips to bend the metal back out to it's factory condition. Note: this is NOT shipping damage, the box had no visible signs of being dropped. I think the contents are not protected properly, and therefore get bent.during trasportation and the heavier items shifting around against the she...

Rusted grill after first use

We gave the grill to my husband for Fathers Day. At first, it worked great but I was dismayed to see the grills COMPLETELY rusted over after the first use. This is not ok. Is there a replacement with something of better quality?? I am still within return time but I don't want to return the entire thing because of a faulty part, if I can avoid it...

Best purchase I ever made.

I've had mine since 2006 and it's still going strong. I bought the Junior in 2008 and it's still going strong as well. My favorite cook is Thanksgiving Turkey. Can't be beat. I cook salmon portions on the Junior weekly. Keep it out of the rain and it will last decades. Best purchase I ever made.

Great food, poor quality

Food comes out great, but very poor quality. The bottom of the grill gets so hot the paint just flakes off. The main quality issue though is the frame. The frame and cart is mostly plastic and mine is completely falling apart. No parts available either, so I either have to make my own frame to hold it or toss it.

Great grill but will rust out

Had a char-griller for 4 yrs. Loved the grill but made the mistake of leaving the ash in it to long and over time it totally rusted out. My advise to anyone who owns one is to remove the ash as soon as it’s cooled.

Great grill

This grill is well built. Instructions were pretty clear. Have used this grill 3 times now and holds temp well. This grill makes it easy to maintain heat. Recommend this grill

Great product

Had one of these a while back,great smoker .brought a big joe kamabo and sold my Akorn thinking my gas grill could do the smaller cooks,not the same .gave it to a friend and got the Akorn with the cart.great product.now have the best of both worlds.get yourself one!

We love it!

We love it! Temperature control is easy. Uses little charcoal. The huge side table might be the best feature, and the one-finger hood release is a nice improvement. You can smoke a pork butt at 250, and torment the neighbors for 7 hours, or cook a pizza at 550 in 8 minutes. We now have one at home and one at the cabin. Very happy!

the handle was broken but c.s. took care of it.

i got what i expected because i read alot of reviews.this is a cheaply made kamado grill /smoker that works very good.i broke it in with a small amount of charcoal and it held 400f for about 5 hrs.for the price its a pretty good deal.
