Terrible Grates
We've had this grill a few years now. The grates on this grill are a terrible design. Grease gets trapped instead of flowing off. They are impossible to clean easily. The coating started to come off right away. I wish I wouldn't have purchased this. I have had other char broil products in the past but this makes me not want to try anymore and seek a different brand.
Poor grate design
This has a poor grate design. Grease gets trapped, it's hard to clean in-between and the mfg instructions for cleaning are not helpful. Immediately the covering started coming off. I hate cooking on this grill but I paid alot and am stuck with it for now. We don't grill nearly as often as we did wjth our other grills.

Terrible Grill
I've had this grill for going on my second season. One of the worst grills I have ever purchased/owned. Flare ups are out of control, very difficult to clean grates, very difficult to cook meat as the burners cook closer to front faster then back. Burners are almost rusted out. (covered in my garage all winter)

Worst Designed Grill ever purchased
This grill is the worst grill I ever purchased. Specifically the grill itself is the part that I have such trouble with. I cook 15 burgers at a time and the little slots that let grease flow through constantly get clogged and makes a mess. They are the worst to clean and if you do not clean this grill every single time it will build up and smoke you out. The burgers get all black from the burnt grease left on the grill too. beware the grates and buy a mat
Product came assembled, so I can't rate that part....but these grates (that you can't see in an picture before buying) are impossible! I have used the handy 'brush' that comes with it for cleaning. What a joke! I soaked, scrubbed, ran in dishwasher, soaked again, scrubbed again....and you can't get anything between those slots to sufficiently clean between them...on both sides! Are there replacement grates? I want regular grates that I can clean. Also, this runs very hot, even on the lowest sett...

A good if flawed grill
It looks nice, but I guess it is to be expected for the price, but there are some parts of this grill like the side burner, and side shelf that feel less than sturdy compared to the Char-Broil Commericlal girl I have used for the past 10 years. The assembly instructions were terrible, and the numbering on the parts were wrong, which made assembling the grill far more difficult than it should have been. No flare ups!
This is a great grill. Infinitely adjustable temperatures, so some (like me) may find there's a learning curve over their old grill. Lights easy, heats up quickly. One of the best things about this Char-Broil grill is the no flash cooking grates. Food heats evenly, and no flares from grease/oil catching fire. Missing Part(s)
Upon opening (factory sealed) and putting the grill together almost to the end...one part was missing (one side of the drip pan track). So I went to my local Lowe's (which I will give five stars) and Brandi in the grill area helped me. I got no fuss about having to go through the manufacturer, etc. They were more than happy to give me the piece that was missing off of another grill. My rub is...as much as I spent on the grill, you would think that all the parts would be in the packaging. So...

BEWARE of the Grates
The instructions were straight forward in putting together the grill and the burners work fine. I would just really not recommend these grill grates. There is no room in between them for residue to fall in between them so it makes cooking and cleaning really difficult. Even after soaking the grates and and using a nylon brush, it is still really hard to clean in between the grates and the grates themselves.
