Very Poor Product for the Craftsman Name

Upsides: - It is a light weight mower with a compact form factor when folded up. - Same battery format as much of my tools, thus plenty of backup batteries. plastic parts prone to breaking, not serviceable

I have the older model version of this mower and can't recommend it because it is just not designed to be serviced. It is mostly plastic that is prone to breaking. The the front wheel height adjustment handle broke, and in order to replace it, you have to remove the wheel. The wheel is held in place by a retainer ring that is pretty much single use, because if you try to remove it, it will break. Why would you buy this?

Buy a brand new one, take it home, assemble it, fully charge the batteries, start it up, push it over a small, dry patch of grass and watch it sputter out, overheat and die like you’ve had it for 6 years. Even with a second set of batteries, you won’t be able to finish a moderately small backyard in one session, because the God-awful batteries die/overheat(in 60 degree weather) in less than 30 minutes and take an hour and a half to charge. Not that great

The first mower did not last more than 1 month. When I went to use it, it did not turn on. Tested batteries in a Craftsman weed trimmer and blower, it worked fine. Returned the unit for a new one, after getting it home, I found that the handle was torn but decided not to take it back.

The batteries only last a couple months. Had them replaced and same thing. Now the batteries are too expensive to keep replacing
