Very solid toolbox. Be aware that it has a safety function to not allow the drawers to open if the lid is not fully open - I assume this is for people who have this in their vehicle so that the drawers don't just slide open as you're driving around. I was able to find a very simple workaround on YouTube to knock out the pin that enforces this since I always planned to have this in a place where having the lid all the way open wasn't possible, but even before I put it there I was really confused...

pretty darn good tool chest
I like it quite well, would be nice to have a top that hinged in the middle so it wasn't so tall when open, drawers work well but it did come with one of the soft close sliders broken, they are built a little bit on the light side. It was a real pain getting to the people that could send me a new part and took about an hour on the phone and 3 transfers. The drawer liners are ok but I purchased some better ones. all in all a decent tool box.

Not sure id buy this box if I had to do it again. Box arrived with minor damage to the back of it. And the drawers shut terrible. I’d have just bought be a Yukon and called it a day. The self shut feature is the majority of where the problems lie with the box for me, it makes it more hairy to open and isn’t very smooth opening and when you shut it some of the drawers don’t shut on their own.

Good Tool Chest, but Check Condition
This is a solid, well-constructed (in USA) tool chest, and is includes soft-close drawers and drawer liners. I'd give it 5 stars, except it needs better packaging for shipping and dealing with Lowe's. The first one I ordered (online) came to me house via FedEx, and had significant damage (see pictures). I have been a diesel mechanic for many years, and have a lot of tools. I needed to organize my tools again and started looking for a new chest. I have my father's 1975 Craftsman rolling cabinet, my own 1978 Craftsman rolling cabinet and upper chest. A few years ago I purchased two Craftsman middle chests for more space. I then got a 70s era Craftsman 2 drawer chest. Still needed more space and I was looking at both new and used boxes. Used Craftsman boxes in good shape are going for crazy prices...

Bait and Switch, False Advertising
Just ordered the CRAFTSMAN Garage Storage System 2000 Series Collection based on what I saw in the advert pic on my phone. Now I realized they have downgraded the small tool chest and cabinet from the hooded one pictured as the same height(s) and shape as the other two, and replaced it with a little dinky one that doesn't even match the others at all. Came badly damaged, scratched and top cover dented
It could be it was just a bad packaging, it was possibly a return unit packaged in the same box, and possibly FedEx rough handling contributed to the damage. And, btw, FedEx changed the delivery address, after the package was sitting in their hub in Greenwood, IN for 10 days to the address of the FedEx hub in Columbus, IN and I had to go there to pick it up. I returned the item.

Received damaged. Front panel dented. Packaging appeared intact, so it was damaged when boxed. Otherwise, it fit the intended purpose.
