Peeling rake
The rake is pretty strong but the red plastic coating is peeling off and now I’m stuck grabbing a rusty piece of steel bar. People should wait a year or so to leave their reviews.

I'm used to using an old (smaller) Craftsman rake that was plastic with metal tines I bought for $3.33 on sale back in the early '80's. Defective junk; company lied about warranty
Buyer beware! This rake worked great for about 10 uses, then the handle snapped in half during normal raking. The rake supposedly came with a 15-year warranty, but when I contacted the company they refused to honor the warranty. Instead, they claimed that they did not have to honor the warranty because they stopped making that exact model (even though they still sell basically the same rake under a different model). Craftsman Quality: Best 30" Rake I Have Ever Used
This Craftsman rake is the best rake I've ever used. It's great for cleaning up large areas of your yard quickly and is very durable in areas of your yard where you may have rocks and roots that are usually more difficult to clean. JUNK! & Save your receipt for the waranty
Snapped on the second use. Called "Craftsman" sent pictures , but didn't have the receipt for the "15 Year" warranty, so they wouldn't cover it. They haven't even been made for 15years and it still had the sticker on the rake for Pet's sake. So much for paying extra for the "craftsman" name piece of junk!
it works but isnt very durable
It seems that the type of plastic that this rake uses for its head is of a different type of plastic than the standard plastic 30” lawn and leaf rakes uses; this rake’s polypropylene head is okay for light use but doesnt hold up well to moderate residential use. Mostly good rake
This metal rake is much superior to the plastic ones or combo metal tine/plastic upperworks. It can handle a heavier load and won't break. Nevertheless, I had the wooden handle break on me. I hadn't thought that I was putting too much pressure on it, but a word to the wise for consumers. I had enough confidence in the rake to buy a second one, and I'll transfer the rake portion to another handle.

I just bought this rake yesterday to do a final yard cleanup of leaves. A few weeks ago I mowed the leaves and had to constantly stop to empty the mower bag into our yard waste container. Yesterday I decided to just rake all the large piles that had accumulated and "rake them" into the yard waste container. This was a lot faster than mowing them.
