Beautiful and solid piece
This is a solid piece and very attractive piece. That's why we chose it for our new house, unfortunately the builder did not install it correctly and we had to damage the existing holder to remove it. We were happy to see that it was still available. Installed the replacement and it looks great

Dangerous unfinished edge
the edge of the rod in the toilet paper holder is not smooth or finished. The tight spring means that it would be easy to cut yourself struggling to get the rod out.

Not a fan of this product
Bought and installed this about 2 yrs ago. Every time i change the roll, the springbar falls apart. I'm a loyal Moen customer, but this product was very disappointing. I would love to replace this with the pivot style, which i bought for my other bathroom, and love, but i haven't been able to find the Brantford in pivot style, in satin nickle. Other (cheaper) springbar tp holders, somehow are able to keep the springbar together, so I'm not sure if mine is defective or just a poor design.

No Pivoting Bar -- Disappointing
We are renovating our two upstairs bathrooms and the hall bathroom is being outfitted with the Brantford collection of fixtures. All are high quality items and we like the design qualities except for the toilet paper holder. We too, as others have stated, are disappointed that this collection still uses the old spring loaded bar for the toilet paper holder. We much prefer the pivoting arm toilet paper holder we selected in the Voss collection. Far superior. Nothing is more irritating that replac...

Stay from the entire line because of this.
Not only does the toilet paper holder use the old spring-loaded rod, unlike almost every other manufacturer on the planet there is nothing to keep the two halves of the rod from falling apart when putting on a fresh roll. So you'll hear the sound of half the rod hitting the tile floor to alert you to the fact that the victim in the bathroom had to change rolls.

Worst design
Trying to tighten tiny little bottom screw with tiny allen wrench worst idea ever. I ended up throwing the whole thing away and buying another brand that was easy to install

Why not the pivoting bar style?
Why did Moen design the Brantford style toilet paper holder with the old spring loaded compression bar instead of the newer pivoting bar that their Banbury and Sage styles have? The pivot bar system is far superior. It makes changing the roll so much easier.

Poor Design
The unit looks nice and matches the Moen faucets well, but the TP roll holder is in three peices, so everytime you change the roll you need to be sure to be careful or the roll holder will come apart and the spring will go flying - making a loud noise and making everyone else in the house wonder what the heck you're doing in the bathroom. Aside from the looks, the quality is horrible - better off getting something cheaper... it would work better.

Disappointed
The design of the Brantford line is less than average. The TP holder is the pits. The mounting system is very poor. It falls apart with any pressure applied such as use as an arm rest or even when trying to change out the paper. Some of the other lines like Waterhill or Kingsley are more durable and useful. It would be nice if Moen would switch the Brantford line to the same kind of mounting system.

Plastic mount Poor quality
The wall mount is made of plastic and is not very strong..I mounted and wanted to re set it and found removing the bracket from the mount was very difficult. In fact, the "PLASTIC" locking tip broke while attempting to remove the wall mount. Poor design.
