What Customers Are Saying
The Bostitch flooring nailer is a high-quality tool that performs well for most users when installing hardwood and engineered flooring. The majority of reviewers praise the nailer's consistency, accuracy, and durability, with many reporting successful installations of large areas without issues. The nailer works effectively for 3/4" solid wood and engineered hardwood flooring, providing a tight and consistent installation. It is easy to use and can correct slight misalignments. While a small number of users experienced problems like jams or misfires, these appear to be exceptions, and the nailer is generally considered a reliable and effective tool for most flooring installations.

Would Not Recommend
The first time using this it jammed, and once I finally cleared the jam, it didn't fire. I followed the instructions exactly and have the correct nails. There is no guidance on any basic troubleshooting in the user guide. I figured I'd be able to install at least one row of hardwood with this $279 tool. Since I unfortunately threw away the box, guess that means I need to buy a new nailer - and it definitely won't be this brand.
Quite expensive but a good nailer.
The staple cartridge was different from the prior nail gun I had but was fine after getting used to it. I like the fact that the hammer was a little lighter and was made if a white rubber material - helped to nit make dark marring on walls when in close proximity. The gun itself seemed a lighter than my period gun as well. Overall, very satisfied with this flooring nailer.
Very ease of operation
High quality
Lowe’s sold heavily used product as new
So disappointed in Lowe’s for selling me a heavily used/damaged product as new! I saw the box was damaged at time of purchase but didn’t think much of it. Then, just as I started my job I got out the tool only to find it dirty and damaged. I had to stop work and lose the afternoon driving back to Lowe’s to deal with their carelessness.

Be careful with engineered woods
I bought this nailer after much research to install a 1/2" engineered bamboo floor. At first I started with 2" staples as that is what the floor manufacturer recommended, but quickly discovered that staples would not work as none would seat correctly. It was consistent that one side of the staple would either curl, or crumple. I tried adjusting the air regulation but to no avail. I'm not sure if this problem was due to the nailer or because of the density of the engineered bamboo. I switche...
OK, but poor quality control
I bought this to install 3/4 oak floors in my bedroom. The first gun was leaving every other nail high. Sometimes as much as by an inch. Eventually I took it back and got a different machine. This one sinks the nails every time! The guard on the nail feeder, however, is slightly bent out so that the nails do not feed properly and I have to be on the look out so it does not jam. Frankly, the tool is poorly made and the quality control is not what I would expect from Bostitch. I thought abou...
Sold unlabeled openbox returned item missing parts
I ordered this tool online, and had to drive 25 minutes each way to the Maple Grove store. It was labeled and priced as brand new. Got home to use it to discover someone else had already bought it, used it, and returned it. It was missing several pieces. Even had the tag from the previous purchase in the box, which was taped shut.
Bought this to install 3/4" oak in my second floor and it worked great. I bought vs rent because for the price, you break even at about 1 week of rental. Super simple tool, just oiled daily and had no problems other than user error for the entire project. If I had to do a floor again, I'd buy this in a heartbeat. FYI, I used the Bostitch pancake compressor with the 3 tools. It supplied enough air overall, but had to run a lot when I really got going on a run. I also used the 2" L-shaped cleats w...
Awesome floor nailer
I had been hand nailing 3/4" red oak hardwood flooring. What a difference in speed, consistency, and tightness of the install this Bostitch is. I set the air compressor at 100 PSI which recessed the nails correctly. Nice to consistently have no issues with the tongue and groove alignment due to protruding nails. We used "L" cleats, not staples. We have not tried staples yet as the cleats are so good. Excellent tool and has yet to misfire. And it was a good value compared to other top brand names...
