We bought this to use in an industrial setting, measuring for layouts, CAD floorplans, etc. Worked great. Then, one fine day, bricked. Changed batteries, nothing. Tested the terminals and got dead short. Sent the unit in under warranty, received a replacement along with a nice note asking us to not store with the batteries inside. OK, but the battery door is convoluted and requires a screwdriver to access. Every time, if you want to use the belt clip. What a stupendous design flaw and corporate ...

Great little measuring tool
Bought this product when it was on sale for a member’s deal. Great electronic measuring tool for the sales price. Easy to navigate the menu and change the settings. Can measure distance and area with ease. Can store measurements for future reference. I found it to be accurate within 1/16” when compared to a manual tape measure. Very easy to use just point and shoot. Even has a level indicator to help ensure a level and accurate measurement. Overall great experience using the tool.

Awesome tool
I always wanted 1 of these but did not want to pay the price. Lowes had a special buy, (half price) and I decided to get it. It is very neat. I have not used the app yet, but all of the functions are amazing. The green light is much easier to see than the red light on the level.

Just picked this up at Lowes the other day (model GLM165-27CG for $160 using Lowes for Pros" discount) and put it to work immediately. As I'm writing this review, I see the price just went up $20! Amazing little tool
This is an amazing device. To start out it’s small and compact. It comes with two holder types. A nylon case is provided that hooks to any belt with a hook and loop type strap that is about the width of an average belt. It opens easily yet stays secure. There is also a metal bracket that slides onto the laser tool and is secured with a screw. The screw can store on the metal bracket to help keep up with it when stored. Both can be used.
