Light, easy & single handed

Well designed

The light weight and one handed operation makes it great for cutting rotten rafter tails off and it’s powerful enough to make it through a 6x6 even with a low battery. The tool less blade change is a solid design also.

Handy for tight spaces and one-handed operation

I have a full-sized, corded reciprocating saw, but prefer this one. Can use one-handed, in tight spaces or on a ladder. I also add a pruning blade and cut tree limbs.

very underpowered or poor motor

I purchased this August 2016, and have only used it a few times since. This saw is seriously under powered. It is great on PVC, It is OK when used on small branches (1" or less), and usually ok on 2x4's, though I have had it stall/stop on a couple boards. Where this saw really falls short is if you need to cut through nails. Using the appropriate metal blade it stalls about 4 times cutting through a single 16 penny nail, which is very disappointing. Good compact unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don’t expect performance like in a full sized reciprocal saw. It’ll get the job done but will take longer because it’s smaller and has less power. I bought this as part of a kit 3+ years ago and have been meaning to upgrade to a full size for a while

Died in 6 months

I am a master plumber, my son purchased this for me to go along with the 18v kit I had purchased myself. Saw quit working 6 months later, luckily I never registered like an idiot so I get to fix it if possible. Liked it while it worked. My brute hammer drill barely made it a year so I'm starting to suspect these will not hold up to my work. Didn't register it either yeah me. If you buy them and use them for work make sure you register them.
