What Customers Are Saying
The product is generally well-received, with customers finding the tracks lightweight and straightforward to install. The clips that hold the ceiling planks in place are also praised for their effectiveness. However, some drawbacks are noted, such as the fragility of the ceiling planks and the difficulty in cutting the tracks with standard tools. Despite these minor issues, the consensus is that the system is a reliable and user-friendly option for updating ceilings.

I placed my order and was notified as expected when it arrived at Lowes in Lindale Texas. I sent my wife to pick the order up which included two other products, however even though she gave them a list of all three items, they did not bother to check that list to ensure that they pulled all ordered and paid for material. Now, we are out 2 hours for driving and lots of money for gas. The list that she had was kept by the employee so we can't prove either way if she even bothered to read the list....
Mostly easy, screw locations can be a challenge.
A simple answer to ceiling tile installation to cover our poor-condition plaster. It did have a couple challenges. Cutting: was very difficult with tin snips, but we made it work. An abrasive cutoff saw would have been easier, but didn't have one available. A hacksaw might have been OK. Screwing up: We had to work to find the solid places to screw in to. I climbed up into the attic space, and saw the furring strips (or "strapping") across the rafters, made a small reference hole through t...

lows☺️
I feel I have been cursed with homedepot. they drove out the competition, hardware and lumber yards. if I needed 10 2xs I'd have to order 15 as thru experience I knew I'd get a bunch of hockey sticks. often times my orders were damaged or incomplete. I've been shopping lowes for about 2 years the people like Tim at curbside pickup makes sure I have what I wanted and in the condition I wanted it. thanks you folks are great.

Follow directions!
I selected the 12x12 acoustical tiles. They had been installed some years ago on furring strips and looked even and wonderful. They sagged and fell due to condensation from vents now resolved. Then I hired a contractor to put up this system. THE CEILING COLLAPSED WITHIN 6 MONTHS! It became obvious real quick why it happened. They did not follow instructions. They fastened adjoining tiles to the track with one clip. Armstrong said the corners are the weakest part of the tile. When the first fell,...
Not easy to install
They are not easy to install, especially on a plaster and lath ceiling, and was time consuming. Better instructions are needed regarding the screw head just touching the rail or should it push into the rail and be recessed and securely clamp the rail to the ceiling. How much screw head recess is ideal. For installation over plaster and lath, a 2.5 inch screw would go into the joist 1 and 1/8 inch, probably good enough. I followed the instructions and used 3 inch screws, which were difficult ...

Great look but a lot of wasted product
I just finished installing the country classic plank system in our living room. The final product looks great however I have two complaints. #1 You will likely be left over with extra rails and clips (these are not cheap). This is due to the fact that you can only buy 20 rails and 325 clips at a time. They should come in smaller quantities. #2 The boards are extremely fragile. Half of one box was completely unusable. I thought about taking the whole box back to Lowes but decided against it in t...

This may work for planks but not tiles
After doing some reading and searching we settled for this type of installation for our old dated ceiling Here is the drawbacks Can't find everything you need in store have to buy online takes 3-7 days to get it can't buy just what you need so could end up with a lot of overage. We needed 3 pieces and had to buy an additional 20. The clips are the same way we needed like 183 and had to buy 360 The installation instructions for the tile are not correct we did the measurement over and over and cou...

Anything but easy up
I used these with woodhaven planks. These tracks are crap. For the plank system to work easily, you need the tracks incredibly straight and very level. No problem you say? The tracks are so flimsy, it is like trying to install spaghetti. It twists and redirects the screws, near impossible to keep as straight as it is required to make it easy up. This is not even a two person job. You will need a third person, specifically an exorcist to ward off the demons that will inevitably be attracte...
We appreciate the feedback, but we disagree with your premise that our tracks are flimsy or spaghetti-like. Unlike some of our competitors, our Easy...
Easy installation
Easy UP Ceiling Track Grid is great. We installed Armstrong's Woodhaven tongue and groove ceiling planks in a small bathroom. We only used 3 of the 20 grids in the pack. The tracks went up easy. The planks did take longer than we planned - all afternoon for a small 5 x 8 bathroom. They fit very tightly. But we would do it again. Lots of people install the Woodhaven ceiling planks right on furring strips. We wanted the ceiling planks to be removable. Good thing. We inadvertently damaged a couple ...

Not a simple easy to use system
You need another item called a clip and tile or planks in order to use this track/rail If you are going to use these then I suggest you start in a room that is not used much to practice on That is what we ended up doing The tracks do not have tp be 12 inches apart but for sure no more than 12 .This may change on a 16 inch tile and if using the planks If you just put them up without measuring and keeping straight the clips will not fit the squares and planks straight The other drawback is ...
