Cost effective, sturdy, and easy to install

I probably researched gutter guards way more than I should have. These guards I found to be at the right intersection of sturdy, cost effective, and functionally sound for my home. I have 140” of gutter on my home. Some guards are over $8 for a 3 foot section. Others are vinyl and I am positive would degrade and have to be replaced too soon. These guards were easy to install, blend in well, and will easily provide me stress free and clean gutters for years to come.

I liked the price and the quality of this gutter guard. The galvanized steel feels sturdy and well-made, and the white finish looks clean once installed. It’s a good value compared to other gutter protection options, especially considering the durability of the material. I didn’t notice any major drawbacks for the cost.

Don't buy. Wouldn't recommend it to a friend or enemy. 1. When it rains, the water runs right over the guard and drips on my porch and driveway. Might as well not have the gutter in the first place. 2. I have a lot of pine needles and this product cannot handle those. 3. After 3-4 years, the mesh screen has separated from the top on ALL of the pieces. Junk. 4. Gutters are loaded with stuff. I might as well not have bothered with these. 5. Lock-In Gutter Guard Galvanized Steel

I had never installed this type gutter, the Amerimax vinyl K style. I thought I should probably stick with Amerimax for the gutter guards, so I bought the Lock-in Gutter Guard Galvanized Steel. Well, that was an odeal. These gutter guards DO NOT "fit" in place without modification of each and every piece, modifying with tip snips, time consuming. If you don't mind doing a lot of modification of each gutter guard, then use these. I'm hoping they keep the leaves and "stuff" out of the gutters...

Not for pine needles

These guards work well for leaves of all types but they do not work well if you deal with pine needles or maple tree seeds as those are small enough to enter the expanded mesh holes. The needles and seeds for the most part become unsightly as they stick straight up not fully entering the gutter. Pine needles are too long and the seeds are just big enough to fit in the openings. I installed these this past summer. If you get heavy torrential rain, they fail. The rain just run over the grids like their not there. If you live in a region where you get snow, freezing rain, sleet, they are worthless. They freeze over and you wind up with icicles and bad water freezing on the ground below them. Ordered two boxes of gutter guards and was charged $68. Lowe’s sent one box with two individual guards worth $4 each. After talking to customer service I was sent a second box with two individual guards. Brought boxes to local Lowe’s and cancelled order. The gutter guards must have been mispriced in Lowe’s online. N
