I am not sure which is worse, the refrigerator or the manufacturer repair service provider for Amana in the Phoenix area. This units fridge side temps have ranged from 31 degrees to 52 degrees. The average temperature has been 48F degrees. The freezer side temps have ranged from -1 to 35F degrees. It frequently goes above 32F allowing ice cubes to melt and run out of the freezer side and food unthaws. We have been trying to get this unit repaired since June. I can’t recommend this Amanda Refrigerator while it’s sitting in my garage. I was never informed that I needed a plumber to disconnect the copper pipe going to the fridge. I was given a delivery date of 10/28 so the day before I emptied and took everything downstairs. On the 28th I was informed it would not come until November 8th. So Far, So Good

Brightly lit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator to replace an Amana that stopped working. The water/ice dispenser is not as tall as the old one so my usual tumbler won’t fit and must be held at an angle to fill. Shelves on the fridge & freezer are different sizes than the old so items aren’t in the ‘usual’ -pot. The ice maker works fine and the unit is well lit on the inside.

Can't get service

It is running very cold, food freezes, checked with calibrated thermometer and fridge is 29 degrees though temp is set to minimum (1 light). Tried to get service and am told serial number is not valid!!!!!! No way to get around as all voice prompts require model/ serial number. So Amana refuses to provide service. Door clearance issues

Our panel in the freezer has froze up twice now and we've only used it for 1 month. The fridge food has rotted twice now. And frankly I'm not a happy camper. Could be related to the idiotic layout of the kitchen with the fridge being next to the stove. However we have taken steps to insulate and I to still is not functioning.
