It took me some efforts to have it fixed and brought back to what it is supposed to be like from the factory, apparently sloppy assembly at the manufacturer facility is quite acceptable there. First of all the vent was not assembled straight and I needed to correct this issue by myself and might have been a major issue in the future if I left it unattended due to possible separation of exhaust pipe from the manifold. Relatively easy install, started right up

The box came with high-temp silicone for the exhaust, which was a nice inclusion. As were the insulation segments for the in/out water hoses. The only complications were where I needed to install a T joint to the cold nipple for the thermal expansion tank. The top venting body had to be removed in order to spin the T on. My installation also required a direct 90 of the vent/air feed pipes. The added height from the T made it an extremely tight fit to get the cold feed connected. It would be nice...

Water heater was just installed today we had hot water within 30 minutes. Installers we friendly and courteous, and explains the features of the water heater. They worked quickly and cleaned up after the installation.

Had a Braford White lasted 14 years, trying AO smith this time hope I get as many or more years. The double vent on the AO smith was really difficult to in stall when setting heater close to wall getting that 90 bend with both inside and outside vent was challenging, but the plumber got it. I prefer the double wall hard pipe instead. We shall see!

Thermopile bad day 1

Would Not Recommend

Saturday...After spending much time to install this water heater it would not work. Called customer service, explained the 2 code flashing alert which is bad thermopile. Customer service stated to call them back after I test the thermopile. They will not send a new one even though their own circuit board it saying it's low voltage. Ok? Test thermopile? They sent me instructions. My meter doesn't test Millivolts so I go buy one that will. Customer service is closed. I wait until Monday a...
