This is not good product

I been taking cold showers with a new hot water heater and that I changed my heating element and it still doesn’t work right now. So I need for someone to come in and fix this problem or order me a new one because it should not be broken with in three weeks of work time. Lowe’s you need to own up to this and everyone problems they have with this.

This product, installed 1/5/2026, replaced a 2-1/2 year old AO Smith W/H, serial number 231113335574, model number EE12-50H55DVF-A 100, installed by a Lowes contractor on 5/1/2023. [Return Authorization Number R14713754; case number 19405991]. The EE-12 had a 12 year tank warranty, 12 year parts warranty, and 3 year labor warranty. Piece of Junk

The first one was installed by a plumber and never worked. You have to go through I.O. Smith instead of Lowes if you have issues with the product. My plumber called I.O. Smith and provided all the readings. They gave him a hard time and tried to say it was his fault the defective water heater didn't work. Finally gave authorization to get a replacement. Installed the new water heater. It only provided 3 minutes of hot water. It worked for 3 weeks (01/18/26 to 02/09/26) and then the top element b...

Forced to replace 24 yr old perfectly functioning

I was forced to replace my perfectly functioning 24 year old AOSmith water heater by my homeowners insurance company in order to keep my policy. I hope that this new one lasts as long. Didn't have any problems with the old one and even though it probably didn't have any maintenance (the condo was a vacation rental previous to my purchase) it didn't even have much sand on the bottom of the tank. I can only hope for the same performance with the new one.

Terrible

I purchased a 50 gallon hot water heater at Lowes in Ormond Beach Florida. When i got it home and unboxed it, it was dented. I put it back in the box and returned it to the store. I had to go through the return process which took a while because they were busy. Then i went back it the department to get a different one. I picked one out and made sure the box wasn't damaged like the one i just returned. There did not appear to be any damage. I took it home and opened the box the next morning....

Best In Class

Replaced original AO Smith hot water heater that was 22 years old and still working. I will only buy AO Smith tank heaters and my plumber City Plumbing will only install AO Smith due to quality and relability.

Lowes lostthis Customer

Heater didnt work after install....called Manufacture and they told me they would pay for a heat e.e emt and moneyfor labor to fix the part...after draining water to replace part....old part was worn...how fro. A new unit? Part fixed unit....Now problems getting labor money . Ibought a new used unit ....very disappointed...no more Lowes or AO products...selling used items as new.
