Better than expected. Easy to apply and store

Useless, too thick for caulk gun

This caulk was a complete waste of money, and not cheap for a tube of caulk! The product was so dry and thick that my caulk gun could not push it out. The tiny bit that did come out was dry, and not at all a typical caulk consistency. Save yourself 13 bucks and buy the gray version (which we did, and it worked beautifully; the intumescent property was not necessary for our application.)

Fire Barrier Caulk NOT for fire place/wood stoves

Users please note that this is a fire stop product to form a barrier to prevent the movement of fire in the walls of your home. It is not a heat proof product but designed to form a hard barrier when burnt to prevent flames from moving thru your walls. It is designed for holes in your plate between floors where electrical connections move thru your home. For fire place and stove applications use DAP High Heat Mortar that has a 2000 degree rating.

Product works, but it down not apply as smooth/easy as other silicones or caulks. The paste feels dry and stubborn to flow freely from tube. It needs application gun strong pressure.
