Is your lawn being overtaken by pesky crabgrass or other weeds? Here are three tips that will get your yard read for spring:
1) Pretreat your lawn. Crabgrass is difficult to prevent once it’s established, so get it early. Apply a pre-emergent weed control when trees and shrubs start to bud.
2) Kill new weeds as soon as you spot them. Knock them out before they have a chance to grow and spread.
3) Maintain a healthy lawn. Weeds love weedy grass and will overtake it before you know it. Be sure to take care of any thinning or bare spots.
