The
Real Estate, Engineering and Construction (REC) group of Lowe’s
is the driving force behind Lowe’s aggressive expansion
program. This group is involved in the process of store creation
from the initial market strategy to the end result we frequent
for our home improvement needs. The REC group handles (to
name a few): site selection/acquisition, design, engineering,
store and Regional Distribution Facilities construction, store
retrofit, and facilities management.
Project Manager
Ensures assigned construction projects are completed in accordance
with the contract documents, on schedule, and within budget.
In order to obtain this goal, the Project Manger must inspect,
monitor and document the complete construction process and
be well versed in the requirements of the contract documents
(plans and specifications).
Site Development Manager
Responsible for identifying and resolving all contractual
contingencies related to the acquisition and development of
property for new Lowe's facilities. The Site Development Manager
will be responsible for negotiating and contracting with outside
consultants to provide the following services: Civil Site
Construction Plans, Boundary and Topographical Surveys, Wetland
Evaluations, Environmental Site Assessments, Geotechnical
Investigations, Traffic Studies and other engineering support
as needed
Manager-Property Management
Responsible for evaluating, recommending and conducting sound
property management practices which will enhance profitability
and facilitate the operation of leased and owned properties.
In addition, this position will negotiate and coordinate solutions
to problems or circumstances involving leased and owned real
estate.
Real Estate Manager
Acquires property to support Lowe’s Corporate Expansion
goals by means of purchasing or leasing real estate on which
new stores can be constructed. The Real Estate Manager locates
the best possible store sites in approved markets, and then
negotiates with owners, developers, etc. in order to purchase
or lease the property in the most cost efficient and profitable
manner.
Design Manager
Manages Architectural and Engineering consultant's schedules
and direct project schematic design and timely completion
of construction documents and project specifications for new
store construction. Incumbent will also review outsourced
drawings for completeness and accuracy.
