Cut two pieces of canvas drop cloth 6-3⁄8-inches x 43-1⁄8-inches.
On both pieces, fold each edge and end 1/2 inch, pin in place, and iron.
Using a ruler, draw a light pencil line 1-1/2 inches from each end.
Following the cutting diagram, draw edge-to-edge lines at 6-3/8-in and 3/8-in intervals until you leave a line 1-1/2 inches from the opposite end.
Use a needle and green embroidery floss to make a running stitch on each line to create pockets for the wood blocks.
To embellish the ends of your book, cut four 18-inch strips of 1-inch ribbon. Glue the tips of two ribbons to the inside face of the unstitched short ends of the canvas. Stitch the ends closed using a running stitch and with embroidery floss about 1/8 inch from the edge.
Copy images and the cover onto fusible image transfer sheets following manufacturer’s instructions.
Use an iron to fuse the backs of the images and text centered in each canvas book section following the manufacturer’s instruction.
Cut six pieces of craft board into 6-in x 5 1/2-in squares. Use sandpaper on rough edges. Painting or sealing the boards is optional.
Insert boards into the six sleeves created by the canvas.
