How to Make a Flower Pot Fountain: Getting Started

If you’re looking for DIY fountain ideas, the design below can be easily adapted to suit your needs. However, here are some important points to keep in mind as you create your design:

  • If the ceramic pots or plastic saucers shown are unavailable in your area, select a combination where the saucer fits snugly inside the rim of the larger replacement pot. When making DIY fountains from pots, it’s important that the top pot is properly supported by the bottom pot for stability.
  • The smaller ceramic pot should have a centered drain hole.
  • For the larger pot, you may need to select larger or smaller drain stoppers for the holes in the bottom.
