Cut out old seed packets or other decorative pieces of paper you'd like to use to adorn your bucket.
Retrieve an old plastic bucket (or buy a new one from Lowe's). Make sure you have a lid that fits and that the outside of the container is clean and dry.
In a bowl, mix up a decoupage recipe (3 parts glue to 1 part water).
Apply the decoupage to the back of the seed packets (or other decorative paper). Position the packets on the bucket. Then, add decoupage to the front of the packets. If the paper isn't adhering to the bucket properly, wash the bucket off, scuff up with sandpaper, and then try again.
Let dry and use.
For optimal compost, use this recipe:
1 part nitrogen (greens such as vegetables) + 3 parts carbon (browns like dead leaves or grass) + air + water = rich, organic compost.
