Cut the two 10' PVC pipes in half using a handsaw. Assemble the PVC pipe into a square frame by fitting the pipes into the connectors.
Cut the drop cloth to 5' x 5'. Make sure the drop cloth fits within the plastic frame before cutting.
Paint the drop cloth white. This may take 2 or 3 coats of paint. Let dry completely.
Print out the coloring page stencil and using a thin paintbrush, add the design in black paint. The coloring page stencil prints out as 42 tiles and a guide page. You could also print out the guide page and freehand draw the design, using the graph as a guide.
Add grommets using the tool included in the grommet kit. (The project takes approximately 20 grommets.) Space them about 12" apart all the way around the canvas.
Cut the rope into 20" pieces -- you'll need as many segments of rope as there are installed grommets, plus two additional lengths to secure the canvas to the wall. Thread the ropes through the grommets and knot around the PVC pipe frame to stretch the canvas.
To mount the canvas, start by centering it in the frame. Once it is positioned, secure and knot the top ties. Then pull tight and knot the bottom ties. Repeat on the sides. This ensures that the canvas gets stretched consistently.
Lean the canvas against the wall. Position two command hooks just above the frame. Use the last two pieces of rope to secure the frame to the hooks.
