Katie's Krops

Follow community-minded teen Katie Stagliano as she grows gardens to feed those in need—not just in her community but throughout the country.

Katie Stagliano's Katie's Krops

Katie Stagliano is the young founder of Katie's Krops. At the age of 9, Katie raised a 40-pound cabbage through a Bonnie Plants program at her school, then donated it to a soup kitchen where it helped feed hundreds of people. Seeing the impact one cabbage had, she decided to grow a garden and donate the harvest to people in need. This led to the formation of Katie's Krops, which donates thousands of pounds of healthful food annually and awards grants to kids across the country to do the same thing.
