Traditional water heaters are typically covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, which provides parts and labor protection for one year and parts-only protection after the first year. A Lowe’s Extended Protection Plan offers additional labor coverage not provided under the manufacturer's warranty. Plan starts after manufacturer’s labor warranty ends, if any. If the manufacturer does not offer a labor warranty, which is typical of tankless water heaters, Plan starts on date of purchase.‡
‡ Coverage may vary by manufacturer. Manufacturers often offer 1 year labor warranty for traditional water heaters and no labor warranty for tankless water heaters. See manufacturer's warranty for details on their coverage.
*Replacement may be with new, rebuilt or refurbished product of equal or similar features and functionality or by payment (including merchandise credit) equal to purchase price plus tax. Plan ends upon replacement or payment.
Plan benefits begin, unless otherwise stated above, with the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty for traditional water heaters and on the date of purchase for tankless water heaters. Lowe’s is not the obligor of these plans. For obligor and administrator details, refer to the Terms and Conditions. In Texas, the obligor is Federal Warranty Service Corporation. Read the complete Terms and Conditions below for full details.
