And it's hassle-free — your product will be serviced by an authorized Lowe's technician for the life of your plan.*
For products costing less than $200 before tax, Lowe's Replacement Plans* provide you with additional protection. While a manufacturer's warranty typically expires after one year, a Replacement Plan* keeps you covered for an additional one or two years.
Typically, manufacturers provide parts and labor protection on qualified products for one year after purchase. With your Lowe's Extended Protection Plan*, you'll receive additional coverage for years to come.

Why would I purchase an Extended Protection Plan on a water heater?
Most traditional water heater manufacturers' warranties typically only cover parts and labor for the first year. After the first year most manufacturers will only cover parts, but not labor, for the duration of their warranty. Manufacturers' warranties for tankless water heaters typically do not cover any labor. Buying an EPP provides the customer with in-home labor for the remainder of the manufacturer's parts coverage along with power surge, reinstallation if the water heater is replaced and other benefits that you can read about here. Traditional and Tankless Water Heater plans are available.
Is a Lowe's Protection Plan transferable?
Yes, it's transferable. There are no hidden fees or costs to transfer.
