According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), "indoor air quality can be up to five times more polluted than outdoor air, and is one of the top five urgent environmental risks to public health." Originally designed for asthma and allergy sufferers, Idylis™ air purifiers blend seamlessly into your environment, while quietly and effectively eliminating allergens and airborne particles, such as dust, pet dander and pollen. With four models to choose from, the Idylis™ family of air purifiers, available exclusively at Lowe’s, offers solutions for every room in your home.
All Idylis™ air purifiers feature:
NOTE: The relevant measurement for air purifiers is the Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR), which indicates the volume of filtered air delivered in a given room size by a specific model of air purifier. The higher the CADR, the faster the unit filters the air.
High-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters provide powerful filtration that removes 99.97% of airborne particles, including dust and tobacco smoke that pass through the filter media. It also removes animal dander, dust mites and molds as small as .3 microns in size.
Idylis™ products were designed with a louver-less air intake area on the front to eliminate whistling and provide quiet, unobtrusive performance. Decibel (dB) is the unit of measure for sound levels — the lower the decibel number, the lower the sound level. Running at their highest speeds, most Idylis™ units range from 32.5 (less than the hum of a refrigerator at 40 dB) to 45 dB (less than moderate rainfall at 50 dB).
They also include a carbon pre-filter that removes odor and larger particles and a filter change indicator.
Select Idylis™ air purifiers offer:
- UV-C Light Technology: An ultraviolet C lamp emits short-wave ultraviolet light that kills airborne microorganisms captured on the HEPA media surface. UV-C light is the same technology used by hospitals for sanitization, killing 99.9% of germs, which can cause colds or flu.
- ENERGY STAR®: Products with the ENERGY STAR label meet strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the EPA and the US Department of Energy so you save energy and money.
- Air Quality Indicator: This feature is important if you're running your air purifier in auto mode. The particle sensor detects increases in dust, dander and other particulates and automatically adjusts the airflow rate to remove these irritants. The display visually demonstrates that your air is in the process of being purified and changes color to point out that the air is being purified. This commonly happens when you dust shelves or your pet introduces new particulates into the room.
- Night Mode: It allows you to turn off the display lights while your air purifier continues to run.
- Remote Control
