- Look through your kitchen supplies and determine what you really use. You may have 50 plastic storage containers but only use 10. If you haven’t used it in a while (or if it’s missing a lid, doesn’t match, etc.), throw it away or donate it to a thrift store. If you aren’t ready to part with some of these items, at least find storage space on the top shelves. Free up counters and other, more valuable storage space for items you use regularly.
- Take a good look at where the stove, oven, refrigerator and sink are located. Relocate pots and pans near the stove and cookie sheets, baking trays and ingredients near the oven. This mindful approach will save you time in the kitchen and make cooking more pleasurable.
