Gather girlfriends together to create these cute caddies that will simplify shower time. Our July Unwind & Design project features small metal pails personalized with self-adhesive vinyl borders, found in the walls and windows department.
Step-by-Step
Rough Cost Estimate: $9* (per caddy)
Rough Time Estimate: 15 minutes (does not include drying time for spray paint)

1. At the widest part of the pail, measure the circumference. Cut a strip of vinyl border to that measurement. Mark the pail height on the back of the strip; cut off the excess.

2. Peel off the backing, stick the vinyl border on the pail, and press to smooth. Cut notches in the border around the pail's handles.

3. Write your name with a marker. Using a hammer and nail, create drainage holes in the bottom of the pail. Apply a clear coat, and allow to dry.
Good to Know
You also can decorate the caddy with paint. First apply a coat of metal primer, and then spray with your desired color. Finish with a clear protective coat.Tools, products, materials, techniques, building codes and local regulations change; therefore, Lowe's assumes no liability for omissions, errors or the outcome of any project.
