Your friend or family member has the new Iris™ home monitoring systems from Lowe's. This allows them to stay connected to their home from anywhere in the world and tailor their messaging to report a wide range of security and safety alerts. This messaging system can also alert nominated contacts in case they cannot respond to events.
You have been nominated as a contact by your friend or family member so you will be notified if there are alerts from their Iris system and we hope they have already explained this to you. You can find out more details about Iris at www.lowes.com/iris. We need you to confirm that you are happy to act as a Contact for your friend or family member so please reply 'YES' to the introduction SMS text message to participate.
When and how will I be notified of emergency events?
Iris™ users decide what events will trigger messages, how the messages should be sent and what priority. So you could receive notification by SMS text message, phone call, or email. These messages will tell you what has happened so you can decide on the appropriate response.
What do I do if I am notified?
You should contact your friend or family member so they can brief you on the appropriate response plan for all events.
Does this cost me anything?
All messages will go to your landline, cell phone or email address so your carrier's standard text messaging, data, and voice charges may apply.
What if I don't want to receive Iris™ messages?
To opt-out at any time, reply to any Iris message with the word 'STOP'. If you opt out, please let your friend or family member know so they can make alternative arrangements. You can also ask your friend or family member to remove you as a contact.
