The Installation Process

We know how important it is to get a sense of our entire installation process - from start to finish. That's why we've outlined what you can expect when working with our installation team.

Preparing for Your Installation

The Installation Process Lowe's offers over 40 types of installation services. Once you've decided what you'd like us to install for you, browse Lowes.com or visit your local Lowe's. Let one of our trained Sales Associates help you make your product selections. Our sales associate can also tell you more about our installation services. When you have made your selections, the Sales Associate will create a complete quote for your project or if it is required, assist you in purchasing an on-site measurement.

On Site Measure
If an on site measure is needed, you will be charged a minimal fee which in most cases is deducted from your final order. Within 2 business days after payment, you will be called to set up an appointment so that we can take any necessary measurements. Upon completion, the Sales Associate will contact you with a complete quote for your project. We'll work with you to establish a convenient schedule for your project. Please keep in mind that certain installations may take more than one day to complete.

During Your Installation

During your installation, we will work with you to minimize any disruptions the installation may cause. While the installation is taking place, we ask that you or another responsible adult be present. For everyone's safety, it's important to keep children and pets out of the work area at all times. For certain installations, existing materials must be removed before new materials can be installed. Please note: There are certain removals involving hazardous materials that we will not remove. If you are not satisfied with the progress of your installation, we want to know. Please voice your concern to your Lowe's installation team.

Did You Know

Did you know that many homes built before 1978 contain lead paint? The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued new regulations regarding lead paint that went into effect in April 2010. (Note: Some states may have additional requirements.) The new EPA rules affect renovation and installation projects on homes built before 1978. Special lead-safe installation procedures may be required if your home was built before 1978.
