Riding mowers are versatile power tools that can be used to do more than just cut the grass. With a variety of available attachments, riding mowers can help with yard work year-round.
To get the most out of a front-engine riding mower, select from the many task attachments available. With a properly selected attachment, riding mowers can rake, spread, aerate, haul, plow and perform numerous other yard-care jobs throughout the year. Following are popular attachments available for many front-engine riding mowers.
Riding-mower attachments often require some assembly or mounting to operate. To ensure proper and safe operation:
1. Read the instruction manual for the riding mower and the selected attachment before installing. Some mowers make attachment mounting easier than others. In addition, some attachments require power from the mower through a belt or a power take-off (PTO) drive. Others are simply pushed or pulled by the riding mower.
2. Make sure you follow all safety guidelines during the assembly, mounting, and operation of the riding mower attachment(s). Improper operation can cause injuries or damage.
With a few attachments, you can transform your riding lawn mower into a multipurpose yardwork tool that you can use all year.
