ENERGY STAR®

GE is dedicated to discovering environment-friendly solutions. GE manufactures hundreds of appliance models that have earned the esteemed ENERGY STAR from the U.S. Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency. In fact, the EPA has awarded GE the ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award for 5 consecutive years and the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award for 7 consecutive years.

Responsible Appliance Disposal (RAD) Program

GE is the first appliance manufacturer to partner with the EPA on the Responsible Appliance Disposal (RAD) program. After a new GE refrigerator is delivered, the old refrigerator is shipped to a special recycling center where refrigerants and recoverable materials are removed before the unit enters a recycling shredder. Remaining materials are then separated for recycling, and greenhouse gases are safely captured. RAD helps reduce refrigerator landfill waste to protect our air and water. It's just one more way GE is investing in the future.
