STEP-BY-STEP
Rough cost estimate: $9 per frame (Based on a six-person party. Does not include applicable taxes, which vary by market, or the cost of tools.)
Rough time estimate: 45 minutes (not including drying time)
1. Measure and mark a 3- x 5-inch outline in the center of the clear plastic sheet.
2. Use a tape measure, marker and handsaw with miter box to measure, mark and cut the bamboo stakes. You’ll need to cut bamboo pieces that are 10-1/2 inches long for the frame’s sides and pieces that are 2-1/2 inches long for the middle top and bottom of the frame.
Note: The number of cut bamboo pieces will depend on the natural thickness of the bamboo. Then, cut two 4-1/2-inch-long bamboo pieces, and miter cut one end of each piece at a 45-degree angle. (These two pieces will be used later to create a stand for the frame.)

4. If desired, paint the back of the plastic sheet outside the frame window, or use wallpaper remnants to create a covering. Allow paint to dry. To make the stand, glue the two miter-cut bamboo pieces near the bottom of the frame’s back, and allow sealant to dry. Secure your photo to the frame using tape.
