Project Resources

Step 1

Trace petals on the flashing; cut out with kitchen shears or other heavy-duty scissors. To curve, contour each one around a soup can or other cylinder. Trace holly shapes from the flashing and cut out.

Step 2

Spray paint the top sides of the petals red; let dry. Paint the top sides of the holly leaves white; let dry. Paint cedar balls white; dry.

Step 3

Overlap the blunt ends of large petals to form four-petal flowers; secure with glue. Overlap the blunt ends of small petals to form four-petal flowers; glue.

Step 4

Twist a 12" length of wire around the middle of each flower, leaving 6" tails underneath.

Step 5

Glue small petals onto large ones to form poinsettias. Glue cedar balls to the centers of the poinsettias. Secure the poinsettias onto the wreath with the wires. Tuck holly leaves around the poinsettias. If you'd like, give the wreath a light dusting with white or silver spray paint.
