Paint the wall overall with the color of your choice (we used Valspar First Kiss). Let dry overnight.
Starting at the baseboard, use a pencil to mark every 10 inches along the width of your wall.
Measure 6 inches vertically from each of those points, and mark with a pencil. Repeat the pencil marks until you get to the ceiling.
Use painter's tape to connect the dots from alternating rows to create peaks and valleys. (Note: Use a crafts knife to trim the tape and get a perfect point.)
Paint between the painter's tape with the color(s) of your choice (see list for paint colors used in this project). Let dry, then peel the tape to reveal the chevrons.
