Instructions

Step 1

Download the Large Mailbox Monogram Stencils, Small Mailbox Monogram Stencils, or both and print the letters of your choice. Cut a piece of shelf liner as long as the mailbox. Using spray adhesive, attach the stencils centered on the shelf liner. Add an underline or other ornaments as desired.

Step 2

Use a utility or crafts knife to cut out the letters and ornaments in the shelf liner. Save any cutouts such as the center of a letter “A” or “O” to be inserted later.

Step 3

Clean the mailbox surface thoroughly. Arrange the stencil on the mailbox, remove the backing, and press the liner firmly against the metal, especially around the cut edges of the stencil and around surface texture on the mailbox. Add cutouts from letters such as “A” or “O.”

Step 4

Apply two coats of paint in the color of your choice (Cool Rain shown). After the final coat dries, carefully remove the shelf liner.

Good to Know

If you prefer a different typestyle or arrangement, use your home computer to print letters in the font and type size of your choice.
